I will be performing my work Interventio I Part 2 as part of my participation on the Laboratory of Hearing curated by Barbara Vanderlinden.
“This performance is meant to work as an intervention of the previous one —Interventio I part 1— that will be running and evolving from the opening of the exhibition. It will be a complementary sonic exercise that will lead us to grasp the sounding meanings that remain in latent state in the first part of Interventio I.
Sonic behaviour within sites has been tacitly used by humanity as means for understanding, therefore giving attributes to the place according to how the sound behaves and attributing meaning to it—sometimes it feels sacred, sometimes it feels safe, scary, uncomfortable, etcetera. Like a reinterpretation of Prometheus’ myth, this performance will bring a new knowledge about the space in which this performance is happening, giving us new means and powers to inhabit it.”
